Open to the public all year round, the beautiful park is a lovely place to stroll with family and friends. Visit the restored baroque gardens or walk in the surrounding forests, which are kept natural and not used for commercial purposes.
We kindly request that you make a donation of 25 Danish kroner per person at the main gate towards the maintenance and upkeep of the park.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Realdania Foundation, Ledreborg’s main terraced baroque park underwent a thorough renovation and renewal from 2004 to 2006, the new design was done by landscape architect Torben Schønherr in collaboration with the family.
The aim of the project was to show how a 21st century restoration can respectfully restore and renew a historical park while still achieving low maintenance costs and an infrastructure able to cater to large public events.
The park was inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, accompanied by her Prince Consort Henrik in the spring of 2007.
